More Disney

Day 2

On the second day in California we went to disneyland. Deron had a lot of fun after the first ride got started. It took me strapping him down while he was screaming, crying and trying to get out if the ride. As the ride started going he realized it was fun and was laughing the rest of the time.

This was on the bus ride from where we parked our car to disneyland. This is what Deron and Kieger remember about disneyland.

Waiting in line. We did a lot of this especially on the kiddy rides.

This is him not wanting to be on the ride.

Of course we had to go on the Buzz Lightyear ride.

Don't know what they are looking but it so cute how they are all looking the same way.

His first time meeting a princess! He was very shy!

Scott's neice is Ariel at Disneyland and we were able to get a private meeting with her. It was so funny to watch the interaction between Aili, Bentli, and Ariel. The girls loved the meeting, Bentli would not leave her side.

Waiting for the parade to start.

He just realized he put a sticker on his eye and was not happy.

Deron was blowing kisses and receiving kissess from all the princessess in the parade.

And the day was over. It was an adventure that at least Blake and I will remember.

Day 1

The first day we went to Huntington Beach. It was a little cold with the wind blowing the whole time. We were sticking our feet int he sand to help stay warm. Blake has always said that he will never get in the ocean and thanks animal planet's Shark week for that. He said he would let his feet get wet but would not go any deeper. Blake took Deron down by the water he was doing great until a big wave came and almost fell. Needless to say he did not get in the ocean the rest of the trip. He loved being by the water just would not get in.

It was so cold after you got wet, so this is what he wore the rest of the day.

He does not like to go barefoot so I did not know how he would react with the sand. He did no complain one bit. This picture is priceless.

Aunt Tell and Ki

Aunt Cherise and Uncle Bryce

Pa, Bentli, Aunt Megan, and Aili

Yes that is Blake going into the ocean!

I know that there is nothing in this picture. There was a group of about 5-6 dolphins that swam right by us! I just started taking pictures trying to catch one, but I obviously didn't.

Deron and Kieger loved playing in the sand!

The guys!

What is a better way to wash off all the sand then getting in the pool?

Don't ask, because I don't know what is going on in this picture.

Pre-Disneyland activity

We went to California in May with my family. We were able to rent a house that fit all of us. The trip did not start off how we planned. I had the car packed and ready to go so when Blake got home from work we could leave. I get a phone call from Blake saying that when he was driving home someone crossed 3 lanes and side swipped the front end of the passeneger side! Wait what are you ok? How is the car? What the heck! Yes these are the things that went through my mind. Well when Blake got home the other guys insurance agetn called him and they worked it out so we could get a rental to drive to California, but we would have to wait 2 more hours to get the rental. So do we wait and get a rental or take off and put the miles on our car? We decided to wait and get the rental. Blake went to the rental store early to see if we would be able to get a car earlier then what they told us. A few mintues after I dropped him off he called me and told me to empty the car when I got home, I figured this meant we got a big enough car to take. I asked him what car they gave us, and all he would tell me is that it is not one he would pick. I was emptying the car when he pulled around our corner and this is what I saw It was so nice until you thought about gas prices. Well it was nice to have a huge car and all the room it gave us. Blake's car got fixed a few days after we got home. We drove to St. George on friday night and stayed in my Sister-in-laws parents house. They were out of town so all of us kids were able to stay there. We were so grateful that they let us stay there so we could save some money and be with everyone. My dad was moving this weekend so we did not want to stay there and be in thier way. Saturday we went ot visit Blake's grandpa, or trip seemed to turning around and going great. Deron and Kieger were running around playing while I was onthe phone Deron came to me with his hands held out whinnning. I told him to go show his dad and he walked away. The nex thing I know Deron is right by me holding his hands out whinning again. I look and notice stickers in his hands. I get off the phone and look closer he grabbed a cactus with hairlike slivers. we had to strap him in his carseat and try to get them out. It took a few of us to hold him while Scott pulled each sliver out one by one needless to say it took awhile. After we got them all out Deron was back to normal and could finally move his hands. Then went to see my dads' new house. Luke, thier dog, is not doing so good. They found out a few weeks ago that he has liver cancer. Deron loves Luke and is so nice to him. While Luke was laying down Deron would go over to pet him and sometimes giving him kisses. We were so happy we took the time to stop because while we were in Disneyland Luke got worse and my dad had to put down. We were so sad to hear the news. When we stopped by thier house on the way home Deron was asking where Luke was. It was so sad and cute all at the same time that was able to identify Luke was not there. Okay so we were finally off to California Saturday afternoon. There was one more blip on our way. While I was getting Deron into his pajamas I noticed red bumps on his stomach. He some how gotten the cactus needles in his stomach and had them this whole time. He had been sitting in his car seat with the strap rubbing them and getting them irritated. We had no way of getting them out so we decided to go to the house and take them out, let me tell you that was the longest two hours of my life. Deron did not cry or complain at all, what a tuff boy!

Happy 2nd!

This post is over a month old whoops. Deron turned 2 on April 2nd. We went to the Aquarium in the morning, Deron would watch the fish all day if we let him. For lunch we went to Chick-Fil-A, I know it does not sound that fun but Deron had never played on a playground at a fast food place. He did not even eat his lunch because he was playing the whole time. We got his favorite food for dinner, Cafe Rio. Then we went to Blake's moms house to hang out. It was a great day. We can't believe that he turned 2 already it is true that time goes by too quick!
Party Time! We had a party the weekend before his brithday. Deron loves Buzz so we had a Buzz themed party. He got spoiled by everyone and he loves every present he recieved.
He had some helpers with the presents.
The cake was the best part of the party! Thank you to my friend Julie for making the cake and the cupcakes. Deron loved the cake and would not stop talking about it for weeks. He kept asking for Buzz cake. The detial was amazing on the cake, it looked like it came from a bakery, well it did La Cafe Julie! Thanks so much Julie. Day after
Who knew you could have do indoor drive-in movies!

The Park

Blake and I took Deron and Kieger to the park one day in march when it was warm. I realized I had not posted these pictures. This was the first time Deron would climbed up to the slide on his own then he went down a tunneled slide all by himself and he loved it. Kieger had a great time running away from the park and having Blake or I chase him.

VACATION

Deron, Chace and I went to St. George for a weekend. There was a baseball tournament going on and my dad had to help get the fields ready (this brought back tons of memories from high school). When Deron is around my dad he has to be right by him all the time. I call Deron my dad's mini me. Deron loved being at the baseball fields. Deron would try to help them get the fields ready but would cause them to work more due to him walking through the chalk lines then they would have to rechalk the lines. When I would go pick Deron up he would start crying and calling for g-pa because I was taking the carseat out of my dad's truck and putting it in my car.

When Deron realized that we were almost home he started crying for g-pa and baseball. For a few days after this trip eveytime we got in the car he would say
g-pa and baseball while getting excited. These are the only pictures I got due to Deron having the time of his life at the baseball fields.

My dad is moving so they were in the middle of packing and Deron found the bubble wrap. By the time we found him he had a strip the length of the living room rolled and playing with it.

He did not want me to take his picture, so he would not sit still.
