It was so nice until you thought about gas prices. Well it was nice to have a huge car and all the room it gave us. Blake's car got fixed a few days after we got home.
We drove to St. George on friday night and stayed in my Sister-in-laws parents house. They were out of town so all of us kids were able to stay there. We were so grateful that they let us stay there so we could save some money and be with everyone. My dad was moving this weekend so we did not want to stay there and be in thier way. Saturday we went ot visit Blake's grandpa, or trip seemed to turning around and going great. Deron and Kieger were running around playing while I was onthe phone Deron came to me with his hands held out whinnning. I told him to go show his dad and he walked away. The nex thing I know Deron is right by me holding his hands out whinning again. I look and notice stickers in his hands. I get off the phone and look closer he grabbed a cactus with hairlike slivers. we had to strap him in his carseat and try to get them out. It took a few of us to hold him while Scott pulled each sliver out one by one needless to say it took awhile. After we got them all out Deron was back to normal and could finally move his hands.
Then went to see my dads' new house. Luke, thier dog, is not doing so good. They found out a few weeks ago that he has liver cancer. Deron loves Luke and is so nice to him. While Luke was laying down Deron would go over to pet him and sometimes giving him kisses. We were so happy we took the time to stop because while we were in Disneyland Luke got worse and my dad had to put down. We were so sad to hear the news. When we stopped by thier house on the way home Deron was asking where Luke was. It was so sad and cute all at the same time that was able to identify Luke was not there.
Okay so we were finally off to California Saturday afternoon. There was one more blip on our way. While I was getting Deron into his pajamas I noticed red bumps on his stomach. He some how gotten the cactus needles in his stomach and had them this whole time. He had been sitting in his car seat with the strap rubbing them and getting them irritated. We had no way of getting them out so we decided to go to the house and take them out, let me tell you that was the longest two hours of my life. Deron did not cry or complain at all, what a tuff boy!

Pre-Disneyland activity
We went to California in May with my family. We were able to rent a house that fit all of us. The trip did not start off how we planned. I had the car packed and ready to go so when Blake got home from work we could leave. I get a phone call from Blake saying that when he was driving home someone crossed 3 lanes and side swipped the front end of the passeneger side! Wait what are you ok? How is the car? What the heck! Yes these are the things that went through my mind. Well when Blake got home the other guys insurance agetn called him and they worked it out so we could get a rental to drive to California, but we would have to wait 2 more hours to get the rental. So do we wait and get a rental or take off and put the miles on our car? We decided to wait and get the rental. Blake went to the rental store early to see if we would be able to get a car earlier then what they told us. A few mintues after I dropped him off he called me and told me to empty the car when I got home, I figured this meant we got a big enough car to take. I asked him what car they gave us, and all he would tell me is that it is not one he would pick. I was emptying the car when he pulled around our corner and this is what I saw
