Club Foot Update

Deron went in for his last cast today. The Doctor said it looked really good and everything is in place. He has to wear this cast for 2 weeks and then he starts wearing his shoe brace. It is going to be very different but as long as he will be able to walk and run which is the plan I am good with it. I am glad that everything is getting done right know so he won't remember it. This post shows the process and the difference in his foot.

After the first cast.

After the second cast.

This is the set-up for them cutting the tendon.

How his foot looks after the third cast and before they cut the achilles tendon.

He has the local anesthetic on his tendon.

Waiting for the anesthetic to work.

This is the incision that was made to cut his tendon.

This is after the fourth cast and after they cut his tendon.

This is his last cast!

It looks great, all things considered! I'm so glad you can start to correct it so early. He's getting cuter by the day! I get to meet him Saturday, right?!
