So my sister called me last tuesday saying one of her team members in the wasatch back had to back out and was wondering if I would want to run in her spot. I have heard about this race from her for the past 3 years and I have always wanted to see how fun it was. Well I said yes and did not know what I was getting into. I don't run but I do go to the gym a few times a week. I told her not to expect to much from me. Well I did a lot better than I thought I would have done. My first run was 3.6 miles and I did it in 8:30 min miles. I was shocked! After the first run we went up to the next spot that we were going to start and took a nap. It was not a very good sleep due to we were in a huge parking lot and other vehicles were going and coming the whole time.
Here is our second run. Pictures did not turn out to well due to it was night and we had reflector vests and head lights on so there was a lot of glare. This run was 3.6 miles and a steady climb. This was my slowest run averaging 10:30 min miles. After I ran I tried to take a nap in the back of the truck. That did not work out to well with everything around me I think I got about an hour.
This was our last run. We had a hotel room that we slept in for about an hour. We showered and that was worth the room. The last run was 4.8 miles which was pretty much flat. I did pretty good on this last run. I averaged 9:30 min miles. By the end it was so hard to move my legs and arms but I did it and that to me is a huge accomplishment. This experience was so fun I am so glad I was able to fill in. Thank you sissy!

I'm amazed that you did that on the fly! I would have been dead by the end of the first mile. P.S. I hope you are feeling better from your gym experience!
