So this is very old but finally got around to posting about it. Some friends from work and some of thier friends did the Red Rock Relay from Brian Head to Zions National Park in September. It was so fun there were only a few of us that had ran a race or even ran for that matter. (It was so fun we already signed up to do it again next year!)It does sound crazy to be in a car for 36 hours with no showering and sleeping for as little or as much as you can. Yes, I was the one that slept each time we stopped to sleep.
My first run the temperature was perfect. Well until it started hailing thankfully it only lasted about two miles. I had welts when I was done running. Then our second run was at night. These are my favorite runs they are so peaceful. The last run was the worst. It was in the middle of the day and the temperatures were high that day.
The whole team did great on each of thier runs. We thought we would average 13 minute miles. Well we beat that number by a long shot! We finished in 36.3 hours that is 3 hours before our projected time. It was so fun. Thanks to all my teammates for making this a great race!

Halloween Activities
We did a few halloween activities this year. Deron enjoyed them all. We went to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins. There was a small corn maze that we went through. Deron was taking everything in and loving it.
We went to my sister's trunk-or-treat. Deron had fun playing all the games and getting the candy. All he wanted to do was play the games. We took the boys into the haunted house that was set up. Deron was giving high fives to the kids that were dressed up. He did not get scared until we had to crawl through a maze.

He would not let me hold him, but of course he let G-pa!

He really would not hold still to take a picture, or he was not a happy boy.

Deron ran away crying when I tried to take thier picture. Kieger was excited.

We went to Gardner village. Deron was scared of the witches that moved, if he got to close he would start to cry. So I just left him in the stroller and he enjoyed that.

This is the fun pumpkin patch we went to right by our house. Deron wanted to pick-up every pumpkin he saw. So it took us awhile to pick out the pumpkins, but we did.

He had tons of fun carving the pumpkins. He is the typical boy, and enjoyed getting the pumpkin guts all over.

He would not sit still long enough for me to take a picture. He was obsessed with the CANDY! Since he never gets candy it was a whole new experience for him.

Yes, in order for him to take a picture we had to have candy by the camera. He really was obsessed, but has not wanted any since that night.

Hiking
On Labor day Deron and I went hiking with some of my family. It was fun except for the mosquito bites we all got. I got about 25 and Deron did not get one. So I guess I took all the bites for Deron and I. On the way down Deron wanted to walk. So that is what happened, he walked part of the way down, and he loved it!

ZOO
So I am way behind! Deron was lucky enough to go to the Zoo a few times during the summer. He had a blast each time. Thanks for everyone that took him or invited us to go with them! He was scared of the dinosaurs and would start to cry if he was by them when they made noises. There were a few times he was scared of the animals as well.

I am stylin no metter what I put on!

Family Pictures
A few months ago we got family pictures taken. Let's just say they were not as easy as last time. Deron did not want to cooperate at all. All he wanted to do was crawl around and investigate everything. It was a challenge but we got some good pictures. Thank you so much to Katherine who took them while she was on vacation here!
Cool cat! this is what made him finally happy.

Chantell and I signed our boys up for swimming lessons at the Murray Rec Center. Deron and Kieger had a blast the first few times we went. By the end Deron did not want to swim he just wanted to crawl up and down the stairs, in and out of the pool. He would cry if you tried to take him into the pool. We had them sit/stand on the side of the pool and jump into our arms. Deron loved this game well at least for awhile then he wanted to go back to the steps. Kieger did great! He loved kicking his legs and splashing all over.
Getting them used to the water.
Having a blast with dad.
First dunk. He did not like that very much.
The last day we were able to go down the slide. Not knowing how he would react I was scarred of dunking him at the end. I did not dunk him instead he wanted to keep going down the slide. After each time he would say gain, gain (again, again).
We can say that swimming lessons ended with a bang and he loved them! Can't wait til next time.
