Hiking

Deron and I went hiking to Bell's Canyon one morning with some of my family. It was a long hike but it was fun. Deron did pretty good he fell asleep on the way up the mountain and on the way down. He did get fussy on the way down because it was pretty steep and rocky and his head was bouncing around a little. It was a fun day and I would like to thank Chace he was the one that carried Deron. There was no way I would have been able to carry him.

Having Fun

We put him in the "jumper" to see what he would do and he loved it. He really liked it when the dogs would run past him and make him spin. He loved being able to touch his feet on the floor and not have his brace on. This will be his new toy.


Hanging out on dad!

We are going to have to keep an eye on him already. When I walked out of the room he was on the mat playing and this is where he was when I checked on him. It was maybe ten minutes that I was out of the room! He puts the bar into the ground and lifts his body and moves.

I set him on the couch with Zoie so I could go into the kitchen for a minute. I cam eback and this is how they were sitting. I did not move his arm on top of Zoie it was already there. He loves the pups. When they are playing around him he is smiling and staring at them.

We went to the Kearns pool for Jaxson's birthday a few weeks ago. Deron did good I held him so he could walk in the kids pool and that is all he did. He was moving his feet and was loving it. He had so much fun that he fell asleep on his uncle Kelley.

Blessing

We blessed Deron and had our family over for a bite after. He was blessed by Blake's grandpa and it was a great blessing. Deron is getting so big and accomplishing so much. He has to wear his brace just until the first week of August then he just has to wear it at night when he sleeps. We can't wait to play with him with it off. I am sure he is more excited to be able to take it off.

Fathers Day

It was a great father's day.





He was kicking his feet straight up in the air. I was trying to catch it but did not do a good job. You can see the concentration on his face as he is doing it!

Rice Cereal

So the pediatrician told me I can start giving him rice cereal when he can thrust his tongue forward. Well he has been doing that for a while so I tried it. He did pretty good. When I put the spoon in his mouth he would not know what to do then he would start moving his tongue and some would fall out but some he would swallow. It was great entertainment.

Bryce is HOME!!!

Bryce finally came home! Well I guess to be correct his mission came to an end. He wishes he could have stayed but we are all very excited that he is back home. I was excited for him to meet Deron. He got in at 1 pm then we went to lunch and that night we threw a huge BBQ with his family and friends. It has been so nice to have him home. I do have to say that it is still setting in that I can just pick up my phone and call him!

This is the next day. He is already in shorts and a t-shirt! He held Deron for awhile though he still won't change any diapers.

New Hill To Climb

We are done with the casts! No more plaster and he is able to move his leg when he wants. Well he can move it when he moves his other leg too. Yes he is in a shoe brace that straps his feet togther so when he moves one foot the other goes with it. I thought the casts were bad well I was wrong. The first day he would be sound asleep and just start screaming when he moved any leg. His skin is so sensitive and he is not used to his foot touching anything. It was a battle the first few days but he is used to it and kicks his feet all the time. The only time he crys is when I have to out it on which he has to wear it 23 hours a day everyday for 3 months. Then he will just have to wear it at night.

This is him on our way to Primary Childrens to get the brace. He has no clue what is going to happen.
